Hi, I ended up trying this field out today randomly. Very nice work! It's amazing how much thought has gone into this (esp. the bit about justifying why the field is needed in the first place).
However, even being in the LGBTQIA2S+ community for like 25 years, I still don't know what many of the available terms mean, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. And since the plan is to deploy this field on any general website to any general population, it'd be great if there could be an educational/awareness component to this as well. (Many people reading this for the first time might identify as things on this list but not know it yet.)
I'm not sure how best to go about this... I was kind of thinking a little blue [ ? ] next to each term you could hover over, but not sure Form API easily supports that.
A "lo-fi" version would be a "click here for more info" kind of thing on the field label that popped up a window with definitions.
Anyway, there's my feature request. :) I ranked as "Major" because without this, a site administrator is likely to get a lot of confused emails from end users that they won't necessarily know how to respond to.
Thoughts?
I thought this would be better as something handled upstream in OD, rather than in our Drupal module. This probably relates to the JSON work being done in #48.
