currently we support shipping the drone-cli as a binary file. Snaps are universal Linux packages, and this proposal is too gauge the community's interest in adding snap packages as a released artefact.
We haven't added support yet, due to the costs associated with adding another release type, and the infrastructure that needs to be implemented.
