As described in #111 and #114 we would like to make it possible to set a home place per server where Dronefly is invited, and this home place would be used if a user has not yet set one. Doing this would mean we probably could close #103 without any action, as it would mean if the user without a place pressed :house: then stats would be added for the server home place, which is better than nothing at all. They'd just need to read the guide (or help) to realize that to get more out of it, they need to set a personal home place.
The proposed command is: ,inat set home [place_name]. It would only ever be used when a user does not have ,set home [place_name] and they interacted with the bot in a way that requires a place (e.g. in #114 it would be used as the preferred_place_id when looking up a taxon so that common names for that place are used, and in #111 it would be used to determine the 'introduced' status of the taxon).
