Unable to load iTunesMobileDevice.dll after having installed iTunes 10.1 #226

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Double click on iPhoneBrowser.exe to open it, after having installed iTunes
10.1

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Instead of getting iPhoneBrowser opened, I get the error message of which
tere's a screen shot attached.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
iPhoneBrowser 1.93
iTunes 10.1
Windows XP Professional, SP3

Please provide any additional information below.
- The error message says it cannot find a 'procedure' in the
iTunesMobileDevice.dll (translated from Dutch, my OS language).
- Reinstalling iPhoneBrowser and iTunes did not change anything.
- iTunesMobileDevice.dll is in the folder C:\Program Files\Common
Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support. I had deleted it before reinstalling iTunes,
so my copy of the dll should be okay...
- TinyUmbrella doesn't recognize my device when I plug it in. Its log says
having issues with iTunesMobileDevice.dll too.
- My Apple devices are an iPhone 4 on FW 4.1 (jailbroken using limera1n) and an
iPod Touch 2g on FW 4.1 (jailbroken using greenpois0n).
- iTunes itself and syncing the devices work fine.
- Putting a copy of iTunesMobileDevice.dll in C:\Program Files\iPhoneBrowser
doesn't change anything.

I'm having the exact same problem. All variables are identical except I'm
running FW 3.1.2

I had this issue when I was trying to recover some old photo files from y
iPhone 4. I am not exactly sure what I did that same day, but all of a sudden
the iPhone Browser started working again. Today, December 15th it is acting up
again with the same exact error message I got last time which is what this
thread is about.
