I like Brian's idea, but for a different reason: I don't leave my Koss SB/45 analog headset plugged into the IC-7300 all the time and use the mic and radio speaker most of the time. Using the FreeDV analog mode would allow me to move the headset and leave it plugged into the computer analog ports all the time, ready to chase CW/SSB, if the FreeDV Reporter logic takes my callsign out of the list when I'm in analog mode and puts me back in the list when in FreeDV mode. 73, John W4JKL

I use freedv-gui when operating in analogue modes, it's a useful interface with my USB microphone, I don't use the front panel mic connectors on my radios.
It seems to me that the FreeDV Reporter logic should recognise this and take my callsign out of the list if I am not in digital mode.

Looking good to me @tmiw, I hope it works as well for everyone else too.
