Allow sorting for Online Movie Info/Lists #314

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

What area does your enhancement or feature relate to? (i.e. Config/Setup,
GUI, options, Skin, AMC Updater, Grabber Interface, etc.)
GUI - Online Info/Lists

What is the purpose or benefit of the new feature or enhancement?
When displaying long lists like Popular Movies (which contain ~300 movies) it
would be nice to sort by Title, release date, rating and number of votes
(especially useful to see MOST popular movies first)
How would you expect it to work? (Accessed via, new settings required, Skin
changes/new properties)
Same as other sort by options but NOT sort by all fields as the data does not
exist for Online Movie info.

I can verify sorting is working in Online Lists - by Name, Date, Rating and
Votes.

However, 'normally' sort order (Asc/Desc) is preset for different sorts. E.g.
Name sorts Asc, Date and Rating sort Desc by default. However this is not the
case in Online Lists.
1. Initial sort is unclear - it appears to be the same sort as on TMDB Popular
movies, so 'unsorted' which is not very intuitive
2. Selecting/changing sort orders does not alter the sort order like it does in
Movie Lists, e.g. if you sort by date Desc then change to Name sort - it
remains Desc order. Basically it seems preset/default sort orders are not
applied.

The online listings are somehow "separate" from MF catalog views.
To keep things "simple", I will define an initial "default" sort order "per
sort item" (e.g. ASC for name, DESC for rating, etc.) - chosen based on what is
"most practical". Then user can still change the sort direction manually, if
needed.

in build 3002 the sort appears to be preset properly, but sort does not work
correctly :S

To reproduce:
Open Online Info view > Popular Movies
Select Sort by Date - Sort indicator correctly displays DESC but movies are
sorted ASC
Change Sort order to ASC and back to DESC - sort order seems to change but not
by Date?
