D40 Doesn't Connect #238

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open DSLR Dashboard on Android 4.4.2 (Galaxy S4)
2. Connect D40 with Android via USB OTG adapter
3. Power on D40 (M mode selected on dial)
4. Press "Search for USB Camera"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
1. At step 1, the app shows "Connected DSLR" when nothing is connected
2. Plugging in and powering on the D40 does nothing in the app
3. Pressing "Search for USB Camera" does nothing

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest version of app (29th March, 2014), 4.4.2 Android

Please provide any additional information below.

Is the D40 set to PTP mode?
