For the D3x000 line there is no SDK. I don't have a D3200 and without it I
can't see what commands the model supports and what answers the camera returns.
I will see in future to make some sort of debug release that will dump the info
I need into a text file.
One question, after pressing the LV button in DslrDashboard:
1. the D3200 switch to live view and you don't have the live view image
2. the D3200 does not switch to live view.

Does not switch to live view, I can take one picture and then it locks
up. Have to exit program and unplug camera and reconnect to get it to work
again. I'm glad to help you to get this to work.

And I don't see a live view button. But enabling live view on start does
nothing

Then unfortunately that means the D3200 lacks the PTP commands that the higher
Nikon models have.

Okay. I'll use remote your cam app. It seems to work and show pics after
I take them.

Hi, from what i know it has PTP. There is a software called camcap demo on the
android market and live view works, you can even switch betweenlive and normal.
It works also if you select some other nikon models, from what i have seen
they were much higher models. Maybe the codes can be extracted from camcap.
Would be awseome!

D3200 operating very well (I'm still exploring options), after having initial
problems with establishing live view. I uninstalled & re-installed, as a major
OS update had occurred between downloading DSLRDashboard, & getting an OTG
cable to use it. This seems to be the best App I have come across in ages.
Shots in bracketing don't happen quickly, but what camera allows 8+ bracketed
shots in one go?? Great work Gunter! I'm yet to use LRT, but still figuring
my way around lots of things..

Using Samsung Galaxy S4 SCH-1337 running Android 4.3, with Nikon D600 and USB
To Go adapter, Live View button in DSLRDashboard app works to lock up mirror
but no image is displayed on device. Other functions seem to be working. I
have no problem using LV with DigiCamControl software on PC.

Please uninstall OpenCV Manager and install this one:
https://code.google.com/p/dslrdashboard/downloads/detail?name=OpenCV_2.4.6_Manag
er_2.9_armv7a-neon.apk
After you installed it please disable auto update for it in Play Store

Hi,
I own a Nikon D3200 DSLR. It do not have the HDR feature in-built in its
firmware.
Will I be able to take multiple bracketed shots with positive & negative
exposures in one click for HDR photography using this app?

Yes you can (BULB capture will not work).
Please also try the new cross platform qDslrDashboard :

Hi. I am having the same problem as duanfeng above. There is no video record
button for my nikon d3200. Worse yet the camera buttons on the camera itself
dont work when the app is connected. Can you fix this? Or leave the camera
buttons functional while app is plugged in to camera?
Original comment by livingin...@gmail.com

To be honest. I like your app but all i really need is a way to view whats on
my dslr monitor but displayed on my phone like you would on a computer monitor.
I would still be able to use the buttons on the camera itself. Do you know of
an app or can you make one like this? Or make it so your app... the dslr
dashboard... allows you to use the camera buttons at the same time or instead
of the app buttons?

As I many times wrote the Nikon D3x00 models are budget models with limited set
of PTP commands/properties.
Live view recording will not work on D3200 while connected with USB as the
camera does not have the required PTP command for it.
The camera buttons are controlled by camera not by the software. If you enable
live view or host mode the camera automatically disables the camera buttons.

Maybe the problem with the Nikon d3200 is its USB socket is broken or mal
functioning. Because after working once with my tablet it does not seem to work
now.
