Bedrock below the set value is still be destroyed it does take about the same amount of hits as others set but does not update. I have bedrock durability set to 150, for blocks about the set y level (3 for me) it will update how many hits left then will destroy. For bedrock below set y level will not update the durability and will stay at 150 but will still destroy. I am using the latest beta (4.4.12, it also occurs on 4.4.11. I am using spigot 1.8). Also Blocks will not drop even if set to 1.
