drtshock commented 8 years ago

someone pls advise

Looking for PR to fix.

RowenStipe commented 8 years ago

@Zbob750 Take computer to bed and spoon with it, thus spooning Potato.

zachbr commented 8 years ago

That's an ugly hack. Potato only deserves the best, enterprise-grade, code. Stay in your lane.

28andrew commented 7 years ago

Have you tried converting the project to jQuery?

stuntguy3000 commented 7 years ago

I believe this project can benefit by including all the Apache Common libraries.

As everybody knows, reinventing the wheel is stupid - which is why a Java project without Apache Commons in every class is utterly inefficient.

TheDiamondYT1 commented 7 years ago

@stuntguy3000 But wont Apache Commons make the Potato too bloated to eat? I mean, the potato is good already.

zachbr commented 7 years ago

@TheDiamondYT1 Depends. If Apache Commons is shredded bacon or something we wouldn't care that it's bloated. After all, a potato bloated with bacon is awesome.

TheDiamondYT1 commented 7 years ago

That's a good point.

DrZed commented 7 years ago

Also cannot spork the potato either, someone add that TODO.

MFernflower commented 7 years ago

rewrite the potato in erlang?

TheDiamondYT1 commented 7 years ago

@MFernFlower Potato is already cooked in Java with a sprinkle of Maven, why re-cook it?

SimonBaars commented 7 years ago

You'd need to submit a feature request to GitHub if you;d like to spoon the potato I guess.

TheDiamondYT1 commented 7 years ago

Spoon your computer.

DaMatrix commented 7 years ago

What about knives? They exist too. It's hard to enjoy a delicious potato when it doesn't fit in your mouth.

Formula350 commented 6 years ago

Necroing since no one seemed to state the obvious solution: Update to Mashed Potato. This will allow you to fork, spoon, and spork the Potato, with equal usability regardless of utensil, to top if off! 😄 :potato:

Get it... to top it off..... "Potato Topper"............ N-no? cough Alright, I'll go >_> lol

I have zero coding knowledge and am simply here for the lawls... 👍

drtshock commented 6 years ago

Still waiting a resolution.

ItzSomebody commented 6 years ago

Proposed solution: We need to tell github to change the "Fork" button to a "Spoon" button on Potato day or April Fools.

dariasc commented 6 years ago

We should create a Chrome/Firefox extension

SuperOP535 commented 6 years ago
document.querySelector('a[href="#fork-destination-box"]').innerText = 'Spoon'

Problem solved

SimonBaars commented 6 years ago

document.getElementsByClassName("btn btn-sm btn-with-count")[3].innerHTML = 'Spoon' works perfectly for me (throw it in the browser console and watch the magic happen)

SuperOP535 commented 6 years ago

What a copycat, stealing my idea and just changing the selector.. @SimonBaars

mdcfe commented 6 years ago
[z,v,q,w,a,f,i,r,t,d,...b]=["ZG9jdW1lbnQ=","Y2FsbA==",atob,"noopS",["cXVlcnlTZWw=","ZWN0b3I="],"bWFw","am9pbg==","c2xpY2U=","U3Bvb24=",window,"aW5uZXJUZXh0","dWwucGFnZWhlYWQtYWM=","dGlvbnMgPiBsaTpsYQ==","c3QtY2hpbGQgPiAq"];d[q(z)][a[q(f)](q)[q(i)]("")][q(v)](d[q(z)], b[q(r)](1)[q(f)](q)[q(i)](""))[q(b[0])] = q(t);()=>p

Seems to work fine for me.

SimonBaars commented 6 years ago

@SuperOP535 Everyone can see it's your idea as it's right above my comment, but your command just didn't seem to work in Chrome.

SuperOP535 commented 6 years ago

I tested in Chrome..

mdcfe commented 6 years ago

Can confirm my solution works in Firefox, and as it doesn't use anything Firefox-specific it should also work in Chrome.

SuperOP535 commented 6 years ago

Can confirm that Firefox is the best browser.

zachbr commented 5 years ago

Nearly 3 years now @drtshock, still awaiting resolution of this critical issue. Many production services are frozen as a result.

drtshock commented 5 years ago

Open to PR

wyatt-herkamp commented 5 years ago

Wait am I the only who takes Potatoes to bed to spoon?

Formula350 commented 5 years ago

@wherkamp Spooning of Potato while in bed almost always leads to forking, which results in premature injection of Sour Cream code :see_no_evil:

GoodOldJack12 commented 4 years ago

Perhaps we can make the potato ISpoonable

crxssed7 commented 3 years ago

any update on this?!?!?! i cant spoon :(

ghost commented 3 years ago

Soon I will make a Chrome extension with a direct implementation of the beta github feature, spooning, to allow for spooning the repository. It will also implement requests to the github API to automatically spoon the repository and cook the potato to your liking via the subprocess API which will be directly added to the project. It will build the potato and inject an automatic cooking controller into the bytecode with polymorphic bytecode obfuscation to be undetected by the Windows Defender antivirus and many others.

This will be the most advanced potato spooning platform which will also include a social media platform to discuss your hackery.

this is a joke lol

Formula350 commented 2 years ago

@AcaiBerii Suggestion to Grow potato instead of Build. Synthetic Potato -- i.e. built, be it 'man-made' or by AI -- simply does not have the same real-world results as an Organically Grown one. Potatoes that are built require too many third-party addons (cheese, spices, sour cream, etc), and end up being more trouble than its worth.

Also, in my findings, any Potatoes that list the Yukon Gold lib as a dependency, do not behave favorably with my Taste Buds hardware. Whether or not that is something to do with my specific hardware, or whether it's a core issue with the library, is undetermined currently. (However, the data thus far indicates it being the former.)

Just my two cents. :}

rospino74 commented 2 years ago

Since @SuperOP535 solution no longer work, I propose a temporary workaround:

const fakeFork = document.querySelector('.octicon-repo-forked');
fakeFork.nextSibling.nodeValue = "Spoon\n"
fakeFork.parentElement.setAttribute("aria-label", "Spoon your own copy of drtshock/Potato to your account");

// The modal title should also be spooned
const fakeModal = fakeFork.parentElement.nextElementSibling;
fakeModal.querySelector(".Box-title").innerText = "Spoon Potato";

Btw, looks like Github is conspiring to stop us from spooning the potato.

iop3 commented 2 years ago

Seems like I can spoon it 😉

@zachbr please close this because we have found a way to spoon the potato
