Not everybody knows how to run a shell script (or windows cmd script);

We need to verify that the instructions tell people what to do that works in each situation.
If the scripts are not being packaged with the executable bit set, they need to be fixed up so that''s the case.

Hmm, all the scripts are executable for me, not sure what the issue was here. Closing this.
