Rev B PCB issues #5

  1. The TraceCLK and TD1 are reversed.
    • The ETM_ZWAVE adapter board has Minisimplicity pin 9= TRACECLK = PA04
    • Pin 6 (SWO) TD0 = PA03 PI
    • Pin 10 TD1 = PA05
    • Rev B unfortunately has pin 9 and 10 reversed thus trace debugging is not available with Rev B
  2. Battery holder is backwards. The pin listed as pin 1 is GND, the other pin is the positive side. The footprint is in the ZReach library so I made the footprint backwards. The datasheet does clearly show the Plus side of the battery is next to the polarizing pin.
  3. Change name from ZReach to ZRAD
  4. Make the outline smaller? Does the large ground plane make a difference in RF range with the recommended antennas?
  5. Can the PTI be wired up to a CP2105 and provide simultaneous Zniffer and SerialAPI capabilities?
drzwave commented 5 months ago

The CP2102 and CP2105 are pinout compatible so the same footprint and symbol can be used. The 2nd UART port of the CP2105 are on pins 12 (RX) and 13 (TX).

  1. Fixed
  2. Fixed the footprint
  3. Done
  4. Expect to make another flavor of the PCB with the same schematic with a much smaller 2 layer PCB and a PCB antenna

Is there a way to push the PTI data out a UART via USB to the Zniffer?

https://siliconlabs.my.site.com/community/s/question/0D58Y0000B64NlDSQU/pti-in-wireshark-on-custom-hardware-using-uart?language=nl_NL

Describes BLE doing it. But that's not Zniffer format.

Alarm.com used a micro to convert PTI into zniffer formats. But can a simple CP2105 do it?

I posted this question: https://community.silabs.com/s/question/0D5Vm00000AebmTKAR/how-to-connect-pti-over-uartusb-to-zniffer

  1. Done - added the pin between ZG23 and CP2105. Rev C pcbs ordered.
