Chromium-wm does not put my monitor to sleep

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I go home for the night, locking my screen.
2. An hour later, my co-worker notices my monitor is still on full blast (has 
not gone into idle state.) They turn my monitor off.
3. I come back in the next day and wonder who turned my monitor off ;)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect the wm to set my monitor to idle (dpms?)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
