This discussion could be moved to a dsa2k issue list as it relates to generating information which may influence dsa2k antenna design and or manpower estimates on maintaining 2k antennas.
The DSA-110 Maintenance log is too free form to parse efficiently but there appears to be some common categories which may help construct a form which allows analysis. Some thoughts on what type of statistics which might be helpful:
time spent at an antenna doing any kind of inspection or maintenance
LNA fixes/replacements
Focus temperature sensor fixes
FEB fixes/replacements
Motor related fixes/replacements
Motor shroud
ant computer fixes/replacements
Brake related
I think the idea is that any new component that is fixed/replaced gets a new column in a spreadsheet. Then a mark is placed in the column thereafter for any antenna. Ex:
time | Antenna time spent[min] | Focus Temp Sensor | Motor Shourd | ....|
2023-01-01 | 20 | x | |....|
2023-01-02 | 45 | | |...|
Then one can compute how often each category has had an issue and the average time spent.
Other ideas? Is this too difficult to maintain? Need to bring in Charlie and Morgan.
