Create a function which clones a repo

We want to clone a repo to the local (current) directory.

This should clone public repos.

• If the repo is not public, what API key information will we need to provide?
• If the repo is not public and no API information exists => raise an error.

(deploy key? or do I use my personal key?) what are the positives and negatives of each?
