Future expenses

While it is specified clearly in the user guide that no future dates can be accepted for expenses, the purpose of a financial tracker is to be able to keep track of and also plan future expenses.

The scope of the application was not defined to strictly to only keep track of expenditures but also it does not allow users to plan future expenses in advanced.

Team's Response

The purpose of a financial tracker is not to track future expenses.

 Issue response

Team chose [response.Rejected]

Reason for disagreement: Thank you for your response. However, this is still a valid feature flaw because of the application's broad definition of its target audience and purpose.

In the user guide, BudgetBuddy is introduced as the following:

Defined to help users achieve financial freedom in the future

In the user guide, it was explicitly stated that the application's goal is to help their users to achieve better financial freedom in the future. Therefore:

## Issue severity Team chose [`severity.VeryLow`] Originally [`severity.Low`] - [x] I disagree **Reason for disagreement:** ### Severity should be Low instead of VeryLow The bug severity should remain as Low. This is because this is not a cosmetic issue, but a restriction on a feature users hope to utilise in the application. In the image below: ![image.png](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/dsicol/pe/main/files/34a1cd71-d19a-4d3e-a4e8-083ddddaa165.png) ### Rationale The application is explicitly defined to aid users to achieve financial freedom in the **future**. Users would then expect to be able to plan their future expenses, but are not able to. This causes inconvenience to their target audience that is much more than a cosmetic error as one of the defining application features does not work as expected.
