Hi @abcjmrees

Plugin 6 Page Builder by SiteOrigin Version 2.4.25 | By SiteOrigin is not compatible with ABT.

ABT relies heavily on the default text editor. It cannot work with non-standard editors.

See here and here for more details on this.

Sorry for the trouble.

The default editor that comes with WordPress is the recommended editor. I'm not sure if it is possible to use that editor with SiteOrigin plugins, so you'll have to decide which of the two (SiteOrigin or ABT) you'd rather use.

thank you for your kind assistance, one more question if you please.

i can get the records out of endnote in a format that mimics ris. in other words with tags as to author, title., etc. my questions is can ABT receive RIS style imput, preserve the tags for record fields and format the book based on those tags or does it require one to re-enter the individual fields for formatting and online tagging?

thank you jack

@abcjmrees You're welcome. Happy to answer any questions you might have. Feel free to keep asking if any more come up.

To answer your question above: Yes, if you import an exported .ris or .bibtex file, the bibliography and citations will be automatically formatted according to your chosen citation style.

Directly after importing, the reference list will have all your imported references listed in the "Uncited" list. From there, you can select and insert inline citations as you would normally.

For more detailed instructions, see the Wiki pages.
