Index 204-07 is not the same as 4202-07.
The 204 set are broken into 12 healpixes: https://github.com/dstndstn/astrometry.net/blob/main/util/hp.png
while the 4204 are broken into 48 healpixes: https://github.com/dstndstn/astrometry.net/blob/main/util/hp2.png
so 204-07 contains the same sky as 4204-28,29,30,31.
Dear Dustin,
I downloaded 4204 index files, and 4204-30 solved the image successfully (and rapidly!) Thank you for your help.
Where I can also download 204 sets of index files?
One more question is about all-sky field solving. I use the same optical setup and CCD. So do I need all index files of a specific set to solve images I obtain in various areas throughout the sky?
The 200-series index files are not publicly available because of weird licensing terms of the USNO-B1 catalog they are built from.
I expect the 5200-series -- built from Gaia-DR2 -- will work much better. https://portal.nersc.gov/project/cosmo/temp/dstn/index-5200/LITE/
The index filenames are index-(II)(SS)-(HH).fits
where II is an ID number (200-series, 4200-series, 5200-series) and SS is the scale number (19 = very wide field, 00 = tiny field) and HH is the healpix number -- the part of sky covered. These are either blank (all-sky) or 00 to 11 (healpix nside=1) or 00 to 47 (healpix nside=2).
Thanks again.
How about the Healpix diagrams?! How to get the healpix of 4100 sets?
The 4100 series (built from Tycho-2) are all all-sky. http://data.astrometry.net/4100/

Dear Dustin
Hope you are doing well.
I have an image, 1a.jpeg (attached). I upload it to http://nova.astrometry.net/ and it solves successfully the image. But, with my local installation, I can not solve the same field, even having the index file used by online solver in my index files directory.
I attach the log files too (of online and local solvers separately)
And, this is the command I use: alias my-solve-field='solve-field --scale-units arcsecperpix \ --scale-low 0.4778 --scale-high 0.4973 \ --overwrite --continue --downsample 2 \ --config /usr/local/astrometry/etc/astrometry.cfg \ --sigma=5 \ --no-remove-line --uniformize 0'
Online_Log.txt Local_Log.txt
Could you please advise on this?
Thanks Hamed
