The rate limit is designed to prevent overuse or abuse of the service. When I mention the limit of 5 playlists in 2 hours, it means that within a 2-hour window, you can only request up to 5 different playlists. This helps ensure fair usage for everyone. Each playlist generated will typically remain valid for around 8 to 10 hours before it needs to be refreshed. Most IPTV applications will handle this in the background, but by default, some apps may only refresh the playlist every 24 hours. To avoid interruptions or expired playlists, I recommend setting the refresh/update interval to around 4 to 8 hours in your IPTV app settings, so the playlist stays active and updates regularly.
As for the channels, yes, the playlist contains links that are extracted directly from thetvapp.to and converted into an M3U8 format. This allows the channels to be played in any IPTV player that supports M3U8 playlists. Essentially, you’re getting access to their streams but in a format compatible with your IPTV application.
Thanks for responding ok so just to be clear when you say 5playlist i do not really see more than this playlist on your account that is why I was a bit confused.
I did setup the tv to refresh every 8 hours but this technically would fall in part of the rate limit right? Meaning if 5 people refreshed all within the same 2 hour frame than a 6th person would have an issue ?
Thank you,
Kevin S.

The rate limit is applied per IP address. This means that from a single location, you can request the playlist up to 5 times within a 2-hour period. After reaching the limit, further requests will be blocked for the next 2 hours.
You can easily set up 5 or more devices from your location, each with a refresh interval of 8 hours, and you'll still be well within the rate limit.
Wow that is great to be honest now I did notice you said I can create m3u playlist from plex and other similar free tv platforms do you have a guide to do this? Like I said just started learning about iptv and seems like the best thing since baked bread lol.
Thank you,
Kevin S.

Visit the free-iptv-channels repository to see the available services and regions. Use this information to form your playlist URL:
https://tinyurl.com/multiservice21?region=ADD_REGION&service=ADD_SERVICE
For example, to use Plex in the US region, the URL would be:
https://tinyurl.com/multiservice21?region=us&service=Plex
Simply load this URL into your IPTV application as an M3U playlist.
Appreciate you for the quick responses. I have actually did this step and plex was easy to add but now the only issue is that I do not see the epg added automatically it actually does not show what I am watching I am using the USA version and notice you also said in your post that you can manually add it but im not sure exactly the link format for it

I'm not quite sure why that's happening. Could you provide more details? Did you encounter any error codes when attempting to play the streams? Also, how long has it been since you last updated the playlist on your devices? It might help to refresh the playlist on both devices and give it another try.
ok let me try it again

I'm not sure I understand what you asking for? The playlist are updated automatically by the github actions.
@Kevsosmooth
If their streams become laggy or keep freezing, it’s typically due to the high volume of traffic they’re handling. On Sundays, especially, the surge in traffic can overwhelm their servers, causing performance issues. Unfortunately, there’s not much you can do on the client side to fix this, so you may just need to wait it out.
Ok so just to be clear on the website it was working then on the m3u playlist you sent it wasnt at that time. Now maybe 30 minutes later from me stating that it worked again but it never stopped working from my the websites end.
In anycase this is still great was just checking if that was normal is all.
Thank you,
Kevin S.

Are you asking for my backend code? I’m not sharing it, as I have no plans to make it public.

Ah, it seems like your token expired while you were watching the channel. Try refreshing your playlist, or adjust how frequently the playlist updates.
Well I would agree that it expired the issue is that I had just added to my other device for the first time. But I did refresh multiple times. I mean it worked after a but just not sure if it should always work if the website one works or not.
Thank you,
Kevin S.

My question was you stated you can only use 5 playlist in 2 hours I really did not understand this part would you be able to explain this? Also are these channels directly from thetvapp i was just interested in how all this works.
