Compability to Raspbmc #676

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Trying to connect the remote to the Raspbmc release (popular, tweaked 
version of XBMC for the Raspberry Pi
2.
3. Developer says that the interface is deprecated.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Fully working. Using "Remote Control" works but only after the error message 
you see in the provided screenshot.

What version of XBMC Remote are you using?

0.8.8-beta1

Which Android device are you using (and which ROM, if custom)?

Samsung Galaxy Nexus (standard rom) Android 4.12

Which XBMC revision are you running and on which platform?

Raspbmc RC 5

Please provide any additional information below.

On the XBMC Wiki they say the HTTP API is no longer available. Use the JSON RPC 
interface instead.

i can confirm this defect. i think it is the same like
Issue 673: xbmcremote not connecting to nightly builds
and
Issue 670: IO Exception when starting the remote control

I have this problem too in my raspberry pi raspbmc.
