official XBMC remote for android doesn't work with XBMC 12 frodo beta 1 for Windows #679

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. install XBMC 12 frodo beta 1
2. try to connect official xbmc remote on htc one S phone
3.only remote works no connection to content on pc

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
it should connect, like it still does with version XBMC V11

What version of XBMC Remote are you using?
0.8.8 beta 1

Which Android device are you using (and which ROM, if custom)?
Htc one S Android 401

Which XBMC revision are you running and on which platform?
on XBMX v11 Eden it works fine, on XBMC Frode Beta 1 it doesn't !!!

Please provide any additional information below. get I/O Java socket error 
can't find file 120 when running with XBMC 12 Frodo

XBMC v12 beta3 (for android - run at UG802 android mini-PC), same issue 
(android-xbmcremote v0.8.8 run at Samsung i9300).

apk, downloaded from link in comment #1, works well.

Please update the sources as well! 

I think sources on github are behinde the code of the current apk. That 
definitly is not okay IMHO.
