XBMC Android remote rev. 1006 producing fast keyboard scrolling #700

What steps will reproduce the problem?
I am trying to control XBMC on Raspberry PI. With the Youtube plugin, when I
try to do the "search" I get to the virtual keyboard (ON TV) where I enter
characters through the Android remote. I can enter about 5-6 characters, then
it happens that the cursor on the TV menu starts going fast forward from letter
to letter (scrolling) without me pushing any button on the Android remote. To
stop this I need to shut down the Android remote and restart it, and even that
doesn't always help.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected output would be that the cursor is being fixed on one character and
that it doesnt scroll fast forward.

What version of XBMC Remote are you using?
Ver. 0.10.6-alpha_tombriden

Which Android device are you using (and which ROM, if custom)?
Android 2.1 on Samsung Phone

Which XBMC revision are you running and on which platform?
Raspbian (RPI) xbmc 2:12.0-1

Please provide any additional information below.
I am trying to upgrade to a newer revision of the software, maybe it has been
fixed.

Maybe its produced (only) by hitting "left" navigation cursor in that keyboard
menu.

Actually it might even be triggered when the GUI changes its direction from
vertical view into horizontal view, when the phone is being rotated.

This doesn't happen only with the Youtube plugin...It happens also with other
plugins added to XBMC, when browsing through the list of files available.
