While it is not what the user guide suggests, as it asks to follow DD/MM/YYYY, this date does actually exist and should be considered #10

There was absolutely no command before this. It is expected for a command to be written before inputting a date.

Furthermore, if the tester had attempted to add this date after an add command for event or deadline, an error message will be provided (as shown below). The UG had specified the format to be in DD/MM/YYYY format, and any other inputs would be rejected by the program with graceful exception handlings.
