Input from Dave Zelinsky:
Having these revision tracks would be useful because they care a lot about consistency.
Consistency should be measured relative to some reference forecast like the previous OFCL or a consensus (TVCA or TVCN). We could count the number of times the forecast was to the left or right of that track. That would be the number of "switches".

If we can get revision series in MET-TC, we may also want to make sure we can calculate autocorrelation and Walk -Wolfowitz.

Consider enhancing the MET tc_pairs tool create tracks for revision series. Currently, tc_pairs parses the input ATCF lines and creates a track for each unique combination of basin, cyclone number, technique number, technique, and initialization time. Suggest adding an option to the tc_pairs config file to compute revision tracks based on a constant valid time. So fix the valid time instead of the initialization time. We could modify the model name for these types of track by appending a "_REV" to indicate that it's a revision series.
Would need to make sure that tc_stat can correctly parse this type of track data as well.
