Bugfix for loading xml

Loading the xml (attached) causes the model names in the database in the pull-down menu next to MODEL to be unclickable. Also, the widget for selecting series values is not initialized correctly plot_rhist_DPT2m_nostoch_stoch.xml.txt

There is a problem with loading series XML as well. The loading looks OK but the Series formatting rendering doesn't work properly.
