refine welcome prompt

The current welcome message is too generic and needs more instructions.

Criteria

• [x] only welcome users by their first name
• [x] no signature to welcome message
• [ ] remind users of a few couple of utility links ? (geds/MySSC+ ?)
• (BONUS) Add customization to base prompt to pass in username
