Description

This is the main ticket regarding the R&D for integrating Sharepoint data (files/folders and site pages) into the SSC Assistant.

Definition of Done

• [x] Engage with Microsoft regarding the architecture we have and would use to perform that task and acquire their suggestions
• [x] @harshakakumanu research the current realm of possibility for both site data and files and folder (to compliment my own conclusions)
• [x] Manually obtain site data from a specific site (such as https://163gc.sharepoint.com/sites/Collaboration/SitePages/fr/Home.aspx) and index it (manually for now) via Azure Search Services to test the output of using such an index.
• [ ] Waiting to hear back from Omer about IM plans for moving to Sharepoint modern and direction from Tarek
• [ ] Engage with CIO intake / M365 for how feasible would it be to obtain proper SP permissions to leverage the Sharepoint API (such as obtaining files from a site).
• [ ] (NEW) Create via MSDN of free Azure Subscription, Modern Sharepoint site, within same tenant, create Azure Logic App (or manual code) to pull site data from the API, see Doc below)

Update on the meeting with Microsoft.

• We have Legacy Sharepoint, NO API to ingest site content. We can however use the API to ingest files and folders
• Modern Sharepoint sites have an API to allow to ingest site content.

Next steps:

• [ ] discuss with CIO what is the roadmap to get to modern sharepoint deployment.
