"We" (I, ARC, Software Carpentries) have more experience using Zoom. There is "encouragement" within DSD and wider Digital Education that we maintain one platform for a range of reasons, one being that the chat part will remain when the live session has ended. Depending on the configuration, I think the way DSD has set it up is that once the live session has ended, those who participated can still access and read the chat but not contribute further to it.
