We would like a preview of the app with production data available for users who want to see the latest developments (main branch) but on production data.
The main branch is intended to run against the backend testnet and the backend mainnet (production) may be behind testnet in features. For this reason it will be important to later have a process in place that deals with these discrepancies. These processes include:
separate main, beta, and production branches in the app
using ENV vars to distinguish logic that runs against different environments
sometimes feature flags
sometimes the environment (in the case of breaking changes where requests/responses have changed)
using this method it is recommended that multiple logic paths can be supported at the same time
multiple support is released
wait for production to catch up to dev in regards to the change
