Contact Info Missing

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Receiving an SMS
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I get the contact number displayed instead of the contact Name

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 1.0.9 on an LG GT540 Optimus Android 2.1

Please provide any additional information below.
This seems to be a recent feature and used to work just fine a day back. It 
makes it almost impossible to decipher the sender from just the number. For eg, 

+9198236 72638 has sent you a message instead of "Philip" has sent you a 
message. 

The contact details are present as usual on my contact list

Where are your contacts being loaded from?  Google/Facebook/local/other?

I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused, the problem with my contacts not
loading, was only temporary and was sorted soon after. Thank you for the
attention
