this is now fix :), feel free to reopen if you continue to experience the problem
It doesn't seem fixed. (At least not for me). Which is weird because others don't have this problem :(
hmm thats odd, do you have any extensions? what room are you on?
I do have extensions, I've visited multiple rooms still had the same issue.
I cleared my cache and cookies. I went incognito to see if it was any extensions I had. I tried it on canary (since I have nothing installed), still had this issue. :c
It seems to work (play the next song on firefox though), but chrome is bae :c
this is really odd I use chrome and we havent had this report from anybody else. Are you able to chat and do everything else? Can you try on an incognito window?
Hey there,
You can try and go to - chrome://net-internals/#dns and press "Clear Host Cache" then go to - chrome://net-internals/#sockets and press "Flush Socket Pools" and "Close Idle Sockets"
Also, try disabling all extensions an see if that helps. If it does, you can add them one by one until you find out which one is causing the issue.
Lastly, make sure your chrome is updated! :)
@nambok I am able to do everything else, yes. Issue still persists even in incognito mode. Worried now that I might be the only one with the issue :c
@sinfulBA I've done all of that, and the issue still remains. I've removed my extensions and issue remains. Chrome is also updated.
When the song ends, the audio icon on the tab fades away and I have to go back to the dubtrack tab and have it active so the youtube video/songs can load.
I don't have this issue on other sites like (alpha.nightcore-331.net) The next video(song) loads properly in the background.
@SketchTitan are you getting any errors on the console? Can you do a hard refresh as well clear your cache and cookies, log back in and retry?
Also, try redownloading Google Chrome and/or restarting your computer.
Re-installed chrome. It seems to be working now. :S I probably should have tried this sooner, apologies and thanks for replying.
no worries at all :) feel free to post here again if anything
Update:
It's happening again :c
Same problem here. Removed all my extensions, cleared my cache, cookies, sockets etc. re-downloaded Chrome, restarted my PC ... and it's still a problem. The only other thing I might try is finally doing the upgrade the Windows 10 that I've been putting off for ages but I doubt it'd be relevant in this situation.
What seems to be happening is; whenever I'm on another tab and I notice the music stopped and I go back to the DT tab again, the current song/video in the room will start from the beginning for me even if the bar at the bottom says it's half way through. This causes the song to end half way through for me when it switches songs because that one started late on my end.
EDIT: It's actually only happening with YouTube videos, the SoundCloud songs play just fine while I'm tabbed out.
I think you should reopen this issue @SketchTitan
I don't think I can re-open since I didn't close it, and the button's not there.
And yeah same, the soundcloud ones work fine.
We are looking into this and I believe we have a fix for it should be going out tonight, until then going to keep this open
Just so that @SketchTitan and @TheLuckless don't feel completely alone... several users in our room reported this same issue, and I thought they may have had something installed that caused this. However, this afternoon it started happening for me too... so there's at least 5 people that have this issue... :)
hey all this should be now fixed please give it a try and let me know :)
Woot! Yep, fixed. Tysm
Yup, works for me too, thanks!!
yay ٩(^‿^)۶
I am still experiencing this issue often.
I'm also having this problem, posted more info on this issue. https://github.com/dubtrack/www-dubtrack-fm/issues/249
Let me know what else I can do to help!
Sometimes when the music stops and says music error, when i reload it takes FOREVER to get back on. Is there a solution to this?
My friend is having the same problem right now, anyone know how to fix it?
@Professor-Periwinkle Same issue as Clark had mentioned or songs just not autoplaying?
No, not like Clark
When ever a YouTube video ends, the next one shows up but doesn't play She has to press play herself, but then she is out of sync with the rest of us
Okay, could you get her to try out another browser and see if the issue persists?
She has tried Chrome and Firefox
I'm asking her to try internet explorer now
So internet explorer has the same problem
Great, thanks for letting me know. Is it just videos that don't auto play? Does chat work too?
chat does work
What is her Dubtrack username?
SweetMopy
Thanks. I think she may be experiencing some issues that we're having with our real-time system. I currently don't know of any fix for this, so unfortunately there's not much we can do. However, there's good news. For our 5th anniversary, we announced that we're recoding the entire site, both front-end and back-end. You can read more about it here: https://www.facebook.com/dubtrackfm/posts/1259743990810775

Hey, so I'm using Chrome and whenever I don't have the dubtrack.fm tab open/active, the next song won't play. I have to go back to chrome and click on the tab and then the next song will load. This is an issue to me because I'm usually drawing or multitasking while on dubtrack fm, so I rarely have the window active.
Does this happen to everyone? Is there a way to fix this? :(
