MissionPlanner wil not run on W7 PC #896

When attempting to run the application the following message is displayed ... 
(W7 Ultimate)

log4net: ERROR Exception while reading ConfigurationSettings, check your 
.config file is well formed XML

Pretty sure it's something to do with the configuration of my PC as I have run 
it successfully on another PC earlier

Any ideas what is wrong?
