I don't see our documentation on multimeters specifying what jacks to use or what they are for. We should make sure people are using Volts/Ohms/Milliamps (and COM).
Similarly, it might be good to add a step where you verify that you can actually check for continuity by touching the probes. That's frequently helpful to check when you're using not great multimeters.
