I'm not sure whether it's due to oxidation, flux residue, or something else but I find when probing solder joints themselves you sometimes have to press fairly hard to get a good connection. We might want to add a note(s) about that and/or recommend probing other things when possible (e.g. holes on the same row, the bullet connectors themselves, etc...)
