Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Touch entry area
2. Nothing happens
3. Touch entry area again

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

When the entry area is touched the keyboard should open. Nothing happens.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Arity 1.18. Android 1.6 Archos 5 imt.

Please provide any additional information below.

The Archos does not have a keyboard other than the onscreen one, so
entering data (x+2-x^2) is not possible.

There is a simple solution to this problem: just longpress the menu key
and the keyboard will show up. At least it does that on the HTC Desire :-

That doesn't work on my phone (cyanogenmod, galaxy s3). It would be good to
allow the default keyboard as the main input, as it's much more useful for
typing functions (like trig fucttions). I'd be happy if it were optional. Other
than this problem, arity appears to be the best calculator available for
Android.
