Currently (8c7d0aaec2cb4365aef94f05522aa5f26ba536a2), if the refresh rate is above ~5 Hz, then the console starts to flash very noticeably, making it somewhat difficult to read text, especially if it is in motion.
I don't know if there is a way to essentially "double buffer" the console output, but as far as I can tell, there isn't a way.
