Looks good, and thanks for submitting your pre-work. We hope you enjoyed working on the project! Unfortunately, due to high demand this round, we've received many more applications than expected. As a result, going forward we are prioritizing participation in July to those applicants that are currently working as software professionals rather than currently attending full-time university programs. That said, you will still be added to a waitlist for this course and in the event you are not selected, we are happy to offer you self-paced remote observer access to the materials and assignments so you can still work through them.
In the meantime, there are a lot of resources out there for people interested in learning Android and we’ve done some work to make them more accessible. We have many online resources for learning Android including a long list of Android resources online. You can also follow us on Twitter @codepath for news of future courses.

Sorry for not being early. I just learned java last term and get A, so Java is not a big problem for me, but I spent four to five days to learn XML and to review the android developer website. I also have a question. Following your tutorial, if I create the empty activity,I can not call R.id.menu . I solved this problem by creating a basic activity and delete the toolbar and other components do not necessary. Seems it works, but I am not sure it is ok for the future version. I will try other optional features, and see how java and XML works.
