Selecting Serial Device for Serial Monitor #44

The serial device has been selected and is listed as connected, but when I try to use the serial monitor to see my recorded values, it highlights the serial monitor requirement as red and not selected. I am using Arduino Uno with a Chromebook. Is that part of the issue?

Hey,

Have you tried restarting the Chromebook, unplugging and re-plugging the device? The serial connection with the browser can be buggy like that sometimes.

Yes, but now the serial monitor only gives off a black screen
