Volume control uses linear amplification rather than logarithmic like most systems #160

The volume controls appear to amplify linearly. The human ear like the dB
scale, typically hears
double the intensity at ten times the power.
"A general "rule of thumb" for loudness is that the power must be increased by
about a factor of ten
to sound twice as loud."

Whatever API is being used to control volume does not appear to follow this
model and "loudness"
change in Movist seems to drop off precipitously after a volume of 1.0. This
makes the remote controlling of volume fairly cumbersome. I was hoping you
could change the model from a linear
increase in power to a log-base-ten model or if I'm mistaken in my assumption
of the interface, at
least increase the volume response between the decimal representations of
volume above 1.0, 2.0,
3.0 and 4. Thanks!
