Sound - System Preferences Changes to Mute upon playing file 720jp or higher #186

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start any video with Movist -  VLC is installed on system
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?  No sound

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?  Movist 
6.6, 6.7, 6.8  Using Leopard 10.5.8

Please provide any additional information below.
