What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. avi file (.avi) and sub file (.sub) with same name, within the same folder
2. open avi file with movist
3. the subtitles won't be displayed

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
No subtitles are displayed.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Movist 0.6.8 on MacOS 10.6.4

Please provide any additional information below.
This video file together with the same subtitles file have been opened
successfully on other players. This is not the first time I experience that
Moviest cannot open .sub files.

Rename the subtitle file, and change the extension "SUB" to "SRT".
works for me most of the time.
