I added a vague metric of "effort" that users could arbitrarily assign to tasks at their own discretion, hoping that each user would get a feel for a system that works for them, but the problem is that "energy" is often split across at least three different sets of resources: physical, mental, and social. Sometimes people have the energy to do mindless hard labor and other times they are able to buckle down and do something mentally taxing, but maybe just aren't in the mood to talk to people.
I'd want to be careful in the implementation of this as I don't want to add that much more additional complexity or requirements on the users. I think I'd provide quick access to all the low resource options in the filter bar because I imagine in most cases a user would use them when they're absolutely drained in one or more and want to see what they'd still be able to do.
