Have ideas for distributed light weight events that clubs could do on Discourse? Drop them or discuss ideas here.

@jgmac, I'm Steve, a participant in the forums and at Mozsprint this year. My own project is called Pi Reel, I'm also a club captain which unfortunately I've not kept active as I've wanted, which I hope to change somehow.

From my own experiences one of the most important parts of discourse is participating with people internationally. I've participated in forum chats with people from Spain, Brazil, etc.

So I was just thinking that maybe an idea could be to introduce discourse via a challenge to go on the forum and post in a different language to chat with other cultures from around the world who participate in Moz Clubs. Sort of like a forum pen pal between clubs.

@PiReel Thanks for jumping in, Steve! One of the reasons I love being part of the larger Mozilla community is the ability to connect and make friends with people half way across the world. I think we should rethink the "Categories" on our forum. Greg had mentioned this, as well. Do you think we should have some sort of offtopic/water cooler section? Or could this be solved with a better welcome message and CTA for anyone who signs up? I think right now, the default is a PM by Lainie.

Since we're also a geographically spread out community, can we start a thread to ask people where they're from, and maybe add a visual element to it? Example: https://experts.feverbee.com/t/where-in-the-world-are-you/2229

I like that but, is this sort of similar to the introduce yourself topic?
