Use WebDAV without credentials

• Duplicati version: 2.0.3.3_beta_2018-04-02
• Operating system: Ubuntu 16.04
• Backend: WebDAV

Description

I want to use Duplicati to make backups on an encrypted vault (Cryptomator) The uri of the vaulf is : dav://localhost:42427/Abc123/name_of_the_box/path_to/file

In duplicati, I make Add a backup > Configure a new backup Name : Whatever Encryption : none (because Cryptomator does that) Then :

• Protocol : WebDAV
• Server and port : localhost, 42427
• Path on the server : /Abc123/name_of_the_box/path_to/file
• Username : I haven't one
• Password : I haven't one

Here, it's not possible to do "next", because credentials are mandatory. But I have no credentials, maybe Cryptomator has, but I don't have them. I'm on localhost, so it seems useless.

What can I do to create the backup without credentials ?

This sounds a lot like #2664, it will require some tweaking to the web interface to allow WebDav with no password.

Current code lets me get all the way to screen 5, then Save says "You must fill in the username", but it lets password be blank.

Does this do the job for your setup? I notice in the issue linked just above, they just typed a fictitious filler in order to proceed.
