This patch adds the possibility to add an additional layer of security, by enforcing a SSL client certificate. Two new configuration keys were added as well as an additional README how to setup certificate authentication.

Nice job! Would be cool if this would be added to Z-Push itself, so we don't have a diff anymore.

As you said, It'ld really be nice if the upstream would mind the patches... I tried to get them merged, but there was at least zero response. Thanks for merging! ;)
