view_item only active if variations selected

it is possible to ask view_item activated even if a variation is not selected and load parent sku into the datalayer in this case?

remarketing would be equally effective as it would link with the item_group_id in the google merchant center feed.

I consider it a mistake to trigger view_item only when a specific variation is displayed. Many equally valid view_item are lost.

I can include an option to allow this kind of behavior, yes.

It will be added into 1.21, first I need to release a bugfix release (v1.20.1)
