Clarification of the mutual aid fund #15

People have asked me what is the fund for/who is it run by? Let's put some context on the page so people know before they click.

Im assuming the clarification of the mutual fund you are talking about is under the 'Get Involved" page. are you saying that we need tyyo add clarity to this paragraph: "In the coming weeks, potentially millions of workers will be sent home without pay. This could mean evictions, utility shut-offs, missed payments, and other economic catastrophes for the most vulnerable among us. This fund supports workers facing serious disruption due to COVID-19." If so what should I add? I honestly dont know who manages the fund and where it is going?

I guess a clarification of the organizations running it. At the moment people might think that "we" run it when its a DSA/Carrboro Mutual Aid thing.

How about: In the coming weeks, potentially millions of workers will be sent home without pay. This could mean evictions, utility shut-offs, missed payments, and other economic catastrophes for the most vulnerable among us. The NC Piedmont DSA and Carrboro Mutual Aid have partnered to create a disaster relief fund for families suffering during these hard times. Money given to this fund will be used to support workers facing serious disruption because they've been kept home without pay. Any remaining funds will be used to support relief efforts for stricken individuals who cannot leave their homes for food or other necessities. If any funds remain after the COVID-19 disaster, they will be used for future disaster relief efforts.

It is more or less the exact paragraph from the funds website
