Error While cloning on local drive

Hi Google Fonts Team,

I am getting this error while cloning fonts on my local machine, could you 
please see below given error and suggest me the procedure which i should follow.

% hg clone --verbose -- https://googlefontdirectory.googlecode.com/hg/ .
URLError: [Errno 11004] getaddrinfo failed
[command returned code 255 Wed Jan 02 13:29:38 2013]
