7 years ago I’m seeing this too. For me, the culprit is a rule that turns bluetooth on ‘on arrival’ at the context that I’m currently on (‘Connected to external display’). When falling asleep (or when I press Cmd+Escape) my Mac (10.11.6) immediately wakes up again, with Notification center showing two ControlPlane messages:
- ‘Turning Bluetooth on’
- ‘Some actions took too long to finish before system sleep’
Strangely, changing the rule to an evidence source other than connected monitor (such as powered by battery) solves the problem.
With ControlPlane running, my MacBook Pro wakes itself right after putting into sleep.
