Dusty, First thanks for this beautiful theme. Second I would love to see your take of a light version of this theme if that is something on your radar.

If that is not something please close this.

Thank you

I'm happy to leave this open for a bit, to see if there is broad interest in a light version. It's not on the roadmap at present. Light themes are very difficult to design well, because there is a constant tension between choosing colors that reduce eye strain, and choosing colors that are easily distinguished from each other. My first theme, which is not as actively maintained as this one, was the New England light theme. It started with a background color pulled off of a New England homestead with sunlit cedar shingles (I wanted something akin to handmade paper or parchment), and then I continued with that theme, pulling colors from images of fall foliage and mountains at dusk. It was a fun project, but I was never able to get it to the point where I was happy to use it 24/7, and I ultimately decided to invest more energy in a dark theme I liked. I think there is merit to the idea of the cognitive benefits of dark text on light backgrounds, but backlit screens are a different beast, unfortunately.

It's funny because when I thought about this I was thinking how this would work. I am no designer by any means but the first thought that came to my mind was something along the lines of a parchment type color but also thought how hard it might be to bring the current color styles to a light theme.

I sometimes like to switch between dark and light depending on the time of day and I fell in love with your theme after I found it on the twitter thread. Going to check out the New England theme as well.

Thank you for sharing your time on this theme.
